facebook app taking up a ton of space

help me out guys...  Facebook for htc sense is only 8.00kb in size...  ok no problem....  well the problem is facebook i downloaded from the market is a freaking total file size of 47.37 MB! under application info the total is 47.37MB, application is only 4.28MB and data is 43.09MB!!!!!  now i dont have a clear cache button to free up size but i have a uninstall updates under data....  why is that so big for? i keep having to clear cache and deleting aps because of the low storage space notification and its getting really old lol....   so why is facebook that huge... thanks guys....
