Hello all,

Here is something I haven't found an answer on yet (I hope this topic is in the correct section):
How do you change the language or dictionary within a single text message?

I often type messages with several languages. So far, the only solution I have found is to change the language of the complete phone (via Settings/Language & keyboard/Select Locale).

I am sure there is a better way, but how??
Has anyone come across this before?

Thank you for your help,

I Just installed the  Froyo (Android 2.2) w/HTC Sense based on Gratia Release version ROM and on the keyboard next to the space bar there is a key marked En and it allows you to change the keyboard text to different languages. Hope it helps.

Hi E,

On my Aria I have the Firmware 2.1-update1. Not sure if I can get to 2.2 and how. All I can say is there is no "En" key on my keyboard whatsoever.. I attached a picture.
I am a retard? What am I not understanding??

I'll keep doing it the "old" way and switch the language on the whole phone..

It seems like such a basic functionality.. but it's not here as far as I know. Even the damn ifone has it.

Thanks for the attempt;

Try this go to menu settings language & keyboard touch input international keyboard.
From there you can.select what languages you want. Check off all the langauges you use Then when you compose your email the key next to the space bar with the mike should allow you to switch between languages.

Not sure if 2.1 has this option but see if it is there  Wink
