I am a reluctant refugee from Alltel to AT&T and they sent me an HTC Aria at changeover. I've grown to like the phone but I'm frustrated that they aren't upgrading their phones as they should once released. Froyo isn't what I call an advanced release: it really was to appease those of us who weren't allowed to install third-party apps. Can someone please go kick HTC and AT&T in their collective butts and tell them that the Aria is just a fine phone that should be upgraded? Even if it can't go all the way to Ice Cream Sandwich, there are functions I'd like to see such as near-field communication. There are a LOT of frustrated AT&T customers out here who are looking at alternatives including other carriers (for free upgrades) or rooting (and unlocking) the phones at which point AT&T's bloatware would be history, anyway. I hope they push the update.
