Hi, im thinking about getting this phone, but when i was watching a review on it, they said that you cant download third-party-apps because AT&T blocks them. Im just wondering that if i buy an unlocked version, will i be able to download from the Android market? any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome. you can download apps from the market weather the phone is locked or unlocked. I think what you were reading about was you could not sideload third party apps but they pushed a silent OTA that now allows that as well. You can read about here

I saw your other post before you must have deleted it about being a solstice owner. That's the phone I had prior to the Aria as well.  I picked the Aria because of the smaller size like what  I was used to. The aria does have it's limitaions compaired to some of the newer phones out but over all I have to say I love this phone. I think you will pleased with it.  Wink

I deleted my first reply, because i didn't read the article right the first time i read through it. I believe I saw you on the Samsung Solstice forums, but anyway, my Samsung Solstice was cool, but i got tired of it after about 3 months or so. When i saw the HTC Aria, i was immediately drawn to it because of its size. And the only downsides that i've heard about was its battery life(which i don't really see as a problem). I believe that im going to stick with this phone for a while. Smiley

Yeah I'm still the admin for the solstice forum as well so I'm sure you saw me over there. As far as the battery life goes it seams to be the holy grail of all android users, no one ever thinks they get enough battery life LOL I picked up a wall charger that came with two batteries of ebay for like 30 bucks and I just keep a spare on me in case I need it. It really depends how heavy a user you are if your messing around with your phone all day like me  Wink then yeah your gonna chew through the battery pretty quick but if you are a lite user you could go all day on one charge.

I heard that you can extend your battery life by draining it completely and charging it up again. does this work?

It's called training the battery or something like that. You do it when you fisrt get the phone or a new battery once or twice charge it to full then let drain till empty then recharge and do it again.
