I have tried on 3 different computers and I never get the mount question or anything. I am using the usb cable that came with the phone and nothing is happening. Am I missing something? Did I not set something up right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yea. when you plug it in to the computer you need to pull down the notification bar  at the top of the screen and click the usb symbol notification, and then select the option thats like "use as a disc drive" or something like that.

the screen should pop up automatically when you plug in. Go to settings, connect to PC and ensure Ask Me is checked.

I am having the same issue.

I have my phone set to disk drive in settings and prompt to ask me when plugged into a computer.

I have tried it on my PC and on my wifes Mac.

Phone charges when plugged in via USB with both but I get no popup on my phone, nothing is listed when I pull the status bar either.

I get no pop up on my computer saying a removable drive has been plugged in and there is nothing listed under device manager.

I am at a loss here.

From the home screen press Menu >  Settings >  Connect to PC > in this menu, make sure "Ask Me" is selected, if you want it to pop-up and ask you what connection type you want when you plug into the computer.

OR you can set a default action from this menu as well. You can set it to Charge Only, HTC Sync, Disk Drive, Mobile Broadband Connect.

Hope that helps.

thx for the comment but I have tried that.

I have set it to disk mode and still no recognition when I connect it to my pc.  I have tried them all.  Only thing that works is to charge.

Same here.  When I connect my incredible to my pc, the phone charges but there's nothing on my notifications window to select the usb. My settings are correct based on what I read on previous posts.  I downloaded the htc sync program on to my pc but when the incredible is connected, HTC Sync says it's disconnected.  All I want to do is drag and drop music to my phone without having to remove the micro sd card.  Can anyone please help on this issue??

My Aria came with a CD that I had to run on the computer before connecting the phone to the computer. Check with Verizon if you didn't get the CD.

The problem is the USB cable (the one that came with the unit). When I read these posts I tried the USB that came with my Storm, and it worked exactly as it should for my Aria

My Aria is doing the exact same thing, I have tried everything. I took out the battery, I've turned it on and off manually multiple times, and nothing is working. I've uploaded data before onto my phone, but it was on a different computer. Both computers are running on Windows XP though. Help?
