Hi all.. I dropped my Aria the other day and cracked the screen. To my surprise, everything still worked like it should. Anyway I received a new one via my insurance and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to move my already downloaded apps from the old phone to the new one? Also, my old nokia flip phones that I use to use would let me move my pictures to an SD card, but I can't seem to do it with the Aria... Maybe i'm missing something. Would the Froyo 2.2 help with these problems? If I download the Froyo to use, will I have to do it to both phones, the old phone only, or the new phone only? Any hwlp would be appreciated, in layman's terms please..LOL

Hello and welcome to the forum. To back up your apps go the market and grab the app called MyBackup it will allow you to back up your apps and quite a few other things. As far as your pics they should be on your SD card by default look for a folder named DCIM in that folder there is another folder named 100media your pics should be there. As far as the upgrade don't do it till you save everything because it will clear all data on the phone.

Thanks for the reply.... Okay, so I downloaded the MyBackup app, and then I couldn't install the apps from the SD to the new phone without getting the Pro version. So I got the Pro version. Then when I tried to install the apps I get the message "For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not obtained from Android market"........Now what? All the apps I got were from the market on the phone. Technology is getting the best of me.. Roll Eyes

I am sorry about that i thought the basic Mybackup would allow the restore of the apps without being rooted it works on mine because i am rooted and have a liberated version of 2.2 installed. Well at least you can still use it to back up your data.
After doing a little more research I came up with this information
The first time you go into the downloads page in the market app (after you have logged in on the phone with your google account, of course on the new phone, it should show all of the apps you had before (though i believe if you leave that page without downloading them, the free ones will disappear.) all of your paid apps can be redownloaded for free; they are tied to your google account.
