ONLY WORKS WITH OPEN HOME I found a program that makes it as simple as pressing a button to take a screenshot. Its called Android Screenshot. http://rapidshare.com/files/301485170/Screenshot-1.1.apk-Install -Don't run the program because it tells you to press the camera button which we all know the incredible has no camera button. -Then just hit the menu softkey, More, then screenshot. It will save it to your sd card, and you can quickly find it with OI, or any other program similar *by the way, if anyone is wondering the picture in the picture frame is my daughter's 3d ultrasound pic*

Ok so after doing some digging. I guess the only way would be to use OpenHome. I'm not sure if i can post the apk file here or not. I didn't realize it was only because i had open home running that i could do it. When i changed to HTC senes, or pandahome, i didn't get the option.

Damn, I was so hopeful but at the same time I was thinking "how the heck did you find this, I have looked everywhere" The only working screen shot apps I can find are for rooted devices. I am still on a quest for an easy way to take screen shots. The openhome way is good but what if I want to take pics of sense without openhome running? I am getting ready to crack open the screenshot .apk file and see if I can change some code so that a long press of the trackball will capture a screen shot when Android Screenshot is running in the background. It won't be easy as my knowledge is limited but I have been successful it making minor alterations to other .apk files so we'll see what happens. Anyone have any experience to help facilitate this change? Good discussion here, we need an easier way to capture screen shots!!

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by screen shot, and why would you do this?

Because like on a PC or mac, you want to share what your looking at with others for various reasons, like debugging and such. I think that would be cool if this feature was incorporated into 2.2.

Hey, guys! I found a program to take screenshots on Mac! It is called Screenshots Remote. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/screenshots-remote/id366470372?mt=8There is also a tutorial about this program on youtube.
What do you think about this program? It can take screenshots itself or even remotely. What is your opinion?

if you need to take a screenshot on an android phone just go to the market and get " shootme" it says for rooted phones but that is not true i use it on my aria and it is not rooted at all... works good.... run the app and when you want to take a screen shot you just shake you phone and then you here the camera noise ...then open up photos and a new folder has been created called ShootMe and all your screen shots are stored there....like i said no root is needed... i don't know why it says rooted devices only... but it works perfect
