Just wondering.. I bought myself a domain finally, and am beginning to learn some HTML stuff... I've got a couple VERY small things done so far on my website, but could use some advice/help/direction lol

here is my site..
www.eddieversatile.com

I would love to have a flash site.. but haven't gone down that road yet.

It is for my Music Production/Audio Engineering (recording studio) company i will be incorporating within the next few months.. Right now I am just charging a small hourly rate for vocal recording, Editing and/or Mixing and Mastering songs and CD's.
I want to make my site as interactive as possible with High Quality Music samples to listen to, Videos, and possibly a life webcam feed that I can turn on whenever I am actually working in a session (i feel this will give potential customers a better feel for how I work before actually coming to the studio, as well as draw them in because it's just a freakin cool feature lol)

Let me know if any of you have any recommendations as to what I may want to add, and/or how to do it lol.

P.S. ignore the GoDaddy banner at top for now, I will pay for hosting once the site

Hmm..

It most likely is my browser, (Google Chrome), but it is showing your links overlapped on a horizontal plane. I'll load I.E after a bit and look again, but they normally both show pages the same.

If you do go Flash, you may consider having an option to skip Flash content for those on low bandwidth or on mobile devices without Flash support. Also remember YOUR bandwidth use climbs the more interactive you make it.   Most Hosts charge more past a certain point of usage.

This is just opinion, of course, "I know noooothhhing, nothhhiing!" (Hogan's Heroes; Sgt. Shultz)

Using Firefox and the only thing i see overlapped is facebook and myspace.

FacebcMyspace  is how it shows PS: the "c" is half an "o" Smiley )

other than that there is a box in the middle which looks as if it should load something and doesnt. Good start though. i would have been able to help as i had a webpage design class earlier in the year, unfortunately i only had it for one day lmao

Yeah I noticed that too, the Facebook and Myspace jpeg links stretch with the size of the window LMAO! If you maximize or make your window smaller, those 2 imagelinks will stretch LOL..

The box in the middle is supposed to be a picture, not sure why it's not showing up either LOL.. I've gotta find some time to get some more work done on it.. I found a cool site though!

It's called www.wix.com

Free Flash Websites that you can construct and design on their site.. The only thing I can't figure out is, if there is a way to get that design coding, so I can put it on my webstie, without having to pay them for their service/hosting on WIX.. (since I already have godaddy)

Lots of ways to edit html with embedded items.
Suggest doing a search on google for 'embedding music in html'.
This will give you many options.
