I was going through the music menu and there is a Set As Ringtone option built into the HTC music player! Clicking on it gives you the option of
Phone Ringtone
Contact Ringtone
Trim the Ringtone
The trim ringtone give you two scalable sliders to make a ringtone from songs in your library. Very Cool.
Sorry if this was posted earlier but it makes for a big money saver!

Seems to only work with mp3's though. Doesn't give me that option with any of my m4a songs.

Now it is so easy to make your own ringtones. All we need is to select our favourtie MP3 song, and upload it on AAfter Search by typing 'ringtone:' (without quotes) in the search box. It will split the MP3 into 20 secs ringtones. Select the interesting section of the song/music from 20 secs segments.  Have fun!

:(all my friggin music is stored as m4a.  I once tried getting it back to mp3 but then it slowed my computer down by copying all the music.

different note. How can I keep my ringtones out of my music player playlist?
