We told ya’ that after Samsung Captivate, the next AT&T Android smartphone to get the Froyo update will be HTC Aria. And voila… it’s almost here. Actually it should be released later today, according to this post on AT&T’s Facebook page.

As you probably know, the Android 2.2 Froyo will enhance your web browsing experience while also improving Microsoft Exchange support and adding few cool new features including the ever-useful WiFi hotspot. In other words – you DO want to update!

Just a word of warning: if you've rooted your phone, flashing AT&T's Froyo update will break root, and you will not be able to get it back until someone figures out a way to get through the new ROM's HBOOT loader.

Just updated and went to download 3D Watchdog and it isn't in the market anymore. Anyone know why?

Never heard of 3D Watchdog, did you mean 3G Watchdog. Guarding you against costly Internet overages if so it still available on the market.  Wink

Just downloaded and installed last night, and so far everything works great! 2.2 seems to play other websites flash videos now (not just you tubes like it only did in 1.?). My Motorala H-300 bluetooth headset now except dialing commands from the headset. Installed mpeg4 videos play really great! I also highly recommend installing "TuneIn Radio" from the Android Market. Free HD radio at it's finest! Forgot to add that the browser is much much faster.

I have to modify a second time and say that 2.2 will only play certain types of Flash Video. I think it 's Adobe's flash, Android won't play, because when I go to Liveleak, it will play some videos and not others? Maybe it's a legal issue with Google?
