At&t announced today that for aria owners with 2.1 or 2.2 that an OTA is on the way to allow side loading of apps. You can read about it here.

 Sorry my phone is possessed at the moment and won't let me post the link but it is on android central

okay here's the update on this according to some members of the xda forum this is a silent update you don't do anything its pushed to your phone with out any notification so go to menu settings applications and see if at the top of the choices you now have one that says unknown sources if you do that's it.
